  • Ute Leonhardt

    Ute Leonhardt

    Ute Leonhardt began her career in 1985 at Praxis Film Works, Los Angeles in Visual FX. She joined Propaganda Films as Head of Post Production, supervising projects such as Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks, and Beverly Hills 90210. In 1991 she became Associate Producer of the series of short films for Michael Jackson’s Dangerous Album, working with directors including, John Landis, David Lynch and David Fincher. Ute worked as Associate Producer on Jane Campion’s The Portrait of a Lady before relocating to Rome in 1998. Here she joined forces with Marco Valerio Pugini, becoming co-owner and Vice President of Panorama Films.

    She has been the Italian line producer on numerous feature films, including Ryan Murphy's Eat Pray Love, Ron Howard’s Inferno, Garth Davis’ Mary Magdalene; her commercial clients include Lexus, Infiniti, Airbnb, Zegna and she has collaborated on numerous TV projects.

    Marco Valerio Pugini

    Marco Valerio Pugini is the CEO of Panorama Films and has been active in the Italian film industry for over 35 years. He and Ute established Panorama together in 1997, by folding together two of his former companies. Marco Valerio started his freelance career as a Production Assistant in 1981 on The Monsignoris, then as Unit Manager on Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ. He has since worked on countless feature films and TV projects as Executive and Co-Producer, including Ben Stiller’s Zoolander 2, Spike Lee’s Miracle at Sant’Anna and Chad Stahelski’s John Wick II. Marco Valerio was the Co-Executive Producer of the large scale HBO/BBC series Rome which won 7 Emmy Awards. He is a member of the European Film Academy and teaches in several European Media Training Programs, and is the president of APE (Italian Association of Executive Producers).
